Lindi Marcusen is a dedicated athlete and Ottobock ambassador who has transformed personal adversity into a platform for inspiration and achievement. Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Lindi's passion for movement began early, with 14 years dedicated to gymnastics, reaching the highest levels in club competition.
In 2017, shortly after her honeymoon, Lindi experienced a life-altering car accident that resulted in the amputation of her right leg above the knee. Demonstrating remarkable resilience, she embraced her new reality and pursued athletics through ParaSport Spokane. Transitioning to track and field, Lindi specialized in the 100-meter dash and long jump events.
Lindi's dedication led her to set a new American record in the 100-meter T63 category during the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials, clocking in at 14.95 seconds. This achievement secured her a spot on Team USA for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, where she competed in both the 100-meter T63 and long jump T63 events, finishing 6th and 8th respectively.
Oksana Masters
Oksana Masters is a renowned American multi-sport Paralympic athlete and Ottobock ambassador, celebrated for her remarkable achievements across both Summer and Winter Paralympic Games. Born on June 19, 1989, in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, she faced significant health challenges from birth, including limb differences attributed to radiation exposure from the Chernobyl disaster. Abandoned at birth, she spent her early years in Ukrainian orphanages before being adopted at age seven by Gay Masters, a single mother from the United States.
Oksana underwent multiple surgeries, including the amputation of both legs above the knee, yet she transformed these challenges into a platform for athletic excellence. She began her Paralympic career in rowing, securing a bronze medal in trunk and arms mixed double sculls at the 2012 London Paralympics. Demonstrating exceptional versatility, she transitioned to Nordic skiing, biathlon, and cycling, amassing a total of 19 Paralympic medals—9 gold, 7 silver, and 3 bronze—across six Paralympic Games.
As an ambassador for Ottobock, a global leader in prosthetic technology, Oksana advocates for advancements that enhance mobility and independence for individuals with limb differences. Her partnership with Ottobock underscores her commitment to empowering others through innovation and accessibility.
Beyond her athletic pursuits, Oksana is a motivational speaker and author, sharing her inspiring journey from adversity to triumph. Her resilience and dedication continue to motivate countless individuals worldwide, exemplifying the profound impact of perseverance and the human spirit.
