We are looking for a Pedorthotist to service our patients in the Lincoln Park area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessment to gather data relative to the patient's individual pedorthic needs in conjunction with the Orthotist.
- Interpret date and assessment to implement proper treatment plan for diabetic footwear and foot orthotics including, evaluation, fitting, delivery, and modifications.
- Educate patients by explaining the various procedures being performed and proper use and care of device(s).
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing procedures.
- Monitor and organize inventory necessary to treat patients within your scope of practice.
- Maintain communication through documentation and interaction with patients, care takers, and members of the healthcare team.
- Protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA at all times.
Qualifications
- Compassion for people and having a passion to work with people.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to function in a fast past environment.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent people skills, working with people from all walks of life.
- Great organizational skills.
- Experience in a medical office preferred.
- High School diploma required. Associate's preferred.
- A valid driver’s license with no limitations operating a motor vehicle; must have a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to successfully complete background check which may include motor vehicle record and drug screening.
