We are looking for a Pedorthotist to service our patients in the Lincoln Park area.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessment to gather data relative to the patient's individual pedorthic needs in conjunction with the Orthotist. 
  • Interpret date and assessment to implement proper treatment plan for diabetic footwear and foot orthotics including, evaluation, fitting, delivery, and modifications.
  • Educate patients by explaining the various procedures being performed and proper use and care of device(s).
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing procedures.
  • Monitor and organize inventory necessary to treat patients within your scope of practice.
  • Maintain communication through documentation and interaction with patients, care takers, and members of the healthcare team.
  • Protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA at all times.

Qualifications

  • Compassion for people and having a passion to work with people.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to function in a fast past environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent people skills, working with people from all walks of life.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Experience in a medical office preferred.
  • High School diploma required. Associate's preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license with no limitations operating a motor vehicle; must have a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to successfully complete background check which may include motor vehicle record and drug screening.
