Ottobock has been a growing orthotic and prosthetic provider dating back to 1919. Our goal to help people regain mobility extends beyond our office walls and we support customers in exceeding their own goals through innovative technology and products and best-in-class care.

Ottobock is a proud participant during Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness Month (LLLDAM). With the number of people who experience limb difference projected to nearly double by 2050, raising awareness on the topic and life after amputation is more necessary than ever. This past LLLDAM, we aimed to elevate the voice of the limb loss and difference community through various ventures, including:

• an organized meet-up in Austin, TX

• a coordinated LLLDAM themed work day

• distributing orange ribbons to all Ottobock employees and patients

• hosting weekly online giveaways

• online education resources

Gold Meets Golden brings Hollywood entertainers, professional athletes, Paralympians, and Olympians together to raise awareness and foster community around the past, present, and future of adaptive sports. Ottobock was a proud sponsor of the 10th Annual Gold Meets Golden event in Los Angeles. This year, everyone is coming together to support our friends at Angel City Sports as we pave the way for the Paralympics in Los Angeles in 2028!

Featuring athletes and stars like Nadia Comaneci, Tom Daley, Hunter Doohan, Paula Abdul, Metta World Peace, Greg Louganis, Michael Johnson, Ezra Frech, Heinrich Popow, Johannes Floors, Steven Spielberg, and so many more, Ottobock was thrilled to see this community lift up the future of adaptive sports on such a large stage.

Ottobock's partnership with the Paralympics dates back to 1988 in Seoul. Since then, Ottobock has been at ever Summer and Winter Paralympics with an on-site, international team of technicians. Good sportsmanship and fair competition between athletes is Experienced O&P professionals, specialists and welders ensure that equipment is professionally repaired and maintained – regardless of the athletes’ nationalities or the brands of their prostheses, orthoses and other mobility solutions. We’re there to help – even if athletes just need support with their everyday devices.

Every year, Ottobock North America hosts an Annual Sales Meeting in Austin, TX, where we take time to celebrate our accomplishments of the previous year. During the event, remote and in-office employees from the U.S. and Canada meet face to face and share stories of Ottobock's impact on patients. There are several team-building activities, educating presentations, planning for the year ahead, and recognizing those who above and beyond the year prior.

And it all begins with a one-of-a-kind musical collaboration between the worldwide disability community and rising superstar Sam Ryder. Together they’ve brought our promise to life with an unforgettable tribute to the unconquerable human spirit: Sam’s new hit “Mountain.”

In a truly unique moment at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, Sam Ryder dazzled Europe with a live performance of “Mountain” — and a groundbreaking group of disabled performers. For the first time in Eurovision history, people with disabilities came together to show who they truly are: unstoppable forces of nature with the courage to accomplish anything.

Worldwide, there are approximately 150 million children with a physical disability. Many are restricted in their movement by amputations or physical deformities. As a result, they often suffer particularly from a lack of social participation. A large proportion of them live in newly industrialized or developing countries where they have no or only limited access to orthopedic care.

Professor Hans Georg Näder founded the Ottobock Global Foundation in 2015. It provides people in need worldwide with prostheses, orthoses, and wheelchairs and is committed to better healthcare and a better quality of life for people with physical disabilities - especially for children and young people in low and middle income countries.

STRIVE by Ottobock is a 3-day seminar that is designed with the highest-achieving O&P residents in mind. Our goal is to empower up-and-coming clinicians by cultivating a network of professionals through in-person training, off-site events, and online education via our myLearning platform. Attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to connect with world-class Ottobock clinicians while gaining hands-on experience with innovative products including C-Leg 4, Kenevo, Meridium, Empower, EasyScan, DynamicArm, bebionic, C-Brace, and more.
