The VAS seat frame with Ergo-Joint back angle adjustment is one of three different seating systems in the Juvo B5/B6. With a small turning radius and the ability to approach objects closely, the front-wheel-drive Juvo demonstrates agility and is well-suited for indoor use. Transfers are made easy with the great access zone in front of the chair. Rear-wheel drive: Those who choose rear-wheel drive have outdoor excursions in mind, in addition to maneuvering indoors. Thanks to its directional stability and good performance at higher speeds, the rear-wheel-drive Juvo is the perfect partner for outdoor use. The design of the rear-wheel-drive Juvo allows the best chair overview. Mid-wheel drive: This agile all-around talent among drive systems offers unparalleled driving characteristics for all applications. The tight turning radius is well-suited for indoor spaces. Individual wheel suspension and the Torsion-Drive system form the basis for this intuitive drive type.
The adjustable VAS frame (Variable Adjustable Seat) that grows with the user can be precisely customized to your body, by the specialist dealer. Standard equipped with an adjustable, padded back upholstery and a seat cushion. The Ergo-Joint back angle adjustment is virtually free from unpleasant shear forces. Profiled side rails at the seat frame with adjustable side guides and arm supports, offering space for optional positioning elements, such as additional lateral thigh supports. Optional features also include individual height adjustable, flip-up arm supports, as well as a wide selection of leg support.

This versatile seating solution was designed by Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy experts in wheelchair seating, resulting in an optimized ergonomic shape, and a wide range of sizes. The contour package offers you the support and comfort you can expect from Ottobock with over 30 years of experience in the field of seating and mobility. The anatomical seat shape helps to hold the pelvis back in the seat, aided by the firm support of the back support.
The back support features integral lateral trunk support and provides additional postural stability, especially when driving on uneven or cambered terrain. The top edge of the back support is shaped specifically to allow space for the shoulder blades for maximum independence.

Alternative input devices are available when standard joysticks do not offer optimal use. For example, our mini-joystick can be operated with minimal effort and can be specifically adjusted to your needs and abilities. Your choice of input device may be mounted on a powered swing away arm, to be used as chin, lip or dental control. But that's not all. We are happy to offer you more additional input options to drive your wheelchair, adjust seating features and control your environment. During downhill rides and strong braking activities, such as when turning off the control, the anti-tipper ensure that the wheelchair does not tip forward. To maintain the climbing ability of your front-wheel-drive Juvo, for example, when overcoming curbs, the flexible anti-tip castors automatically fold back when they encounter an obstacle.
