Real-Life Stories.
Always focusing on design
The “completely normal craziness” of the architect’s office, his work as an expert appraiser and seminar activities is what drives Frank, an architect, to put in his best performance every day. He has been using a wheelchair since a traffic accident. When planning the designs for an accessible building project, he incorporates his own experiences in the process. “Even if we in Germany are still far behind other countries, the issue of accessibility is becoming increasingly important in our country’s public sector – and that’s how it should be.” His Zenit wheelchair for active use is always along for the ride, which Frank says “works best when you notice it least.” The handy folding mechanism provides him with maximum flexibility in his hectic daily life – while driving, maneuvering or loading.
Enjoying freedom and staying the course
Lasse is a free spirit who loves the adventure of sailing. “My urge to make new discoveries paired with my passion for sports has already taken me to the other side of the world. On land, the lightweight Zenit R supports my urge for freedom and gives me the flexibility I need in my active day-to-day life.” Even though he has HMSN, a genetic condition that affects motor function and sensation in his legs, sailing has been a big part of Lasse’s life from a young age. He has already sailed at European and World Championships in his single-person keelboat, and he took part in the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio. Lasse seeks battle with the elements in sports. In everyday life, he relies on the outstanding properties of his Zenit R. As a mechanical engineering student, he appreciates the precise construction, functional design and robust workmanship of his rigid frame wheelchair.

Nothing is impossible
As a nature lover who was born in Bavaria, Anna loves the mountains. She participated in sports starting at a young age before she discovered her passion for outrigger skiing. “It started with my ambition and the desire to work my way up to the top. I also tried other sports along the way, such as swimming. It quickly became clear that monoskiing was the best fit for me, so I began putting all my effort and focus into that.” But thanks to her ambition, the former professional athlete never had to force herself to train. She worked specifically on muscle development several times a week in her customised Zenit CLT. Anna’s life continues to be all about her busy schedule. She travels a lot. A wheelchair that’s part of her daily routine needs to be flexible and lightweight. Her Zenit CLT meets these exact criteria, which is why Anna can’t imagine her life without it now. Thanks to its low weight, it is also easy to handle while loading.
Let’s get moving!
The vivacious, adventurous Italian studies languages and spends every free minute in the half pipe, despite having congenital cerebral palsy. This action-packed sport makes her feel alive. Ilaria knows no barriers, no limits. "Discovering and redefining my own limits is important to me." She counts on her Zenit R in everyday life: “My Zenit R is adapted to my needs and is my reliable best buddy in day-to-day life. The selected components and the fact that the wheelchair transmits forces so efficiently boost my endurance, despite my sporty driving style.” Aside from a cool design, stability is also important to Ilaria. That’s why she chose the robust aluminum variant of the Zenit R.
Travelling in style
Sandra, a charming, petite native of Vienna who has been paralysed from a very young age due to a viral infection, lives by the motto “Life is what you make it”. Aside from teaching, she loves wheelchair dancing at her club most of all. It’s an activity that combines athleticism and elegance. “I like to surround myself with beautiful things. So a stylish life with premium materials, outstanding workmanship and options tailored to my needs are important to me.” This is exactly why Sandra drives a Zenit R carbon with the style package, which offers various colour accents on her wheelchair.
