The 3R92 knee joint with friction brake is suitable for users with a moderate activity level and ensures safety in the stance phase. For you as a user, this means that the integrated brake activates when weight is placed on the heel and thereby stabilises the prosthesis. This results in high stance phase stability. When the load shifts back to the front of your foot, the braking mechanism deactivates automatically so you can initiate the swing phase more easily. Elevating the hip is not necessary to initiate the swing phase. In addition, the plastic covers protect the mechanical components of the joints while also shielding a foam cover, if used.
