Pin Lock Socket Systems.
How do pin lock sockets work?
In a Pin Lock System, a pin is screwed into the lower end of the liner. The pin is inserted into a shuttle lock integrated into the socket, thereby connecting the residual limb to the prosthesis. The system is easy to unlock using a simple mechanism. Shuttle lock fittings are frequently used with transtibial prostheses. No suspension sleeve is required with this system.

Active Vacuum
Active vacuum provides the ultimate socket comfort by means of a pump unit creating a vacuum between the suspension sleeve and the liner.

Passive Vacuum
Passive vacuum, also referred to as a ‘one-way valve’, provides a high level of socket comfort when a vacuum is created between the suspension sleeve and the liner/skin. When you begin to walk, the air is driven out of the socket to form a solid connection.
