The Taleo Side Flex (1C58) was designed for active users who navigate varied indoor and outdoor environments and place a high value on secure, effortless walking as well as socket comfort.
Thanks to innovative technology, it offers more freedom of movement in everyday life and ensures secure, full-surface ground contact with its Terrain Adaption Unit – even on uneven surfaces and slopes. The prosthetic foot’s Terrain Adaptation Unit (TAU) reduces the lateral load on your knee or in the socket, which can often cause discomfort. It also minimises compensating movements so you can decide where you go.
It’s more than a prosthetic foot. It’s a foundation.

The joint unit of the foot ensures secure, full-surface ground contact – even when walking or standing on uneven terrain and lateral slopes. You can focus entirely on the people and things around you!
Do you find lateral strain on the knee or in the socket irritating? Thanks to its extraordinary degree of lateral adaptation to the terrain, the Taleo Side Flex carbon foot helps to reduce tilting moments.
You determine where you walk and how you move. Whether you're moving in confined spaces or on swaying ground, standing with your legs apart or relaxed while leaning against something – the Taleo Side Flex lets you do it with fewer compensating movements.
Compared to conventional carbon feet with a split spring, the Taleo Side Flex features exceptional terrain adaptation right after heel strike. This has a positive impact on your comfort and safety.
The Taleo Side Flex is resistant to fresh, salt and chlorinated water and doesn't get in your way – so you can take a shower, swim or work in humid conditions. The openings in footshell prevent water from collecting in your prosthesis.
The prosthetic foot makes a difference in the success of your treatment. Learn more about prosthetic feet in general and our other foot options here.
Peter
Peter sees life as a series of opportunities. To make sure he doesn't lose his balance at a key moment, he trusts his Taleo Side Flex prosthetic foot. Its flexible side-to-side design allows spontaneous movements and ensures secure support in any situation.
New lateral flexibility
Conventional prosthetic feet adapt to lateral slopes only to a small extent at heel strike. Only later on do these feet adapt to a greater extent as the load on the forefoot increases, reaching maximum adaptation at the end of the stance phase. The Taleo Side Flex features high adaptation to lateral slopes and uneven ground right after heel strike. This has a positive impact on the user’s comfort and safety.
