Pin Lock Socket Systems.
How do pin lock sockets work?
In a Pin Lock System, a pin is screwed into the lower end of the liner. The pin is inserted into a shuttle lock integrated into the socket, thereby connecting the residual limb to the prosthesis. The system is easy to unlock using a simple mechanism. Shuttle lock fittings are frequently used with transtibial prostheses. No suspension sleeve is required with this system.
