The Taleo Side Flex is designed especially for users who navigate various indoor and outdoor environments and terrains as part of their daily routine. Thanks to innovative technology, it offers you more freedom of movement in everyday life and ensures security and flexibility while walking and provides full-surface ground contact with its joint unit; even on uneven surfaces and slopes.
The built in 'Terrain Adaptation Unit' reduces the lateral load on the knee or in the socket and can minimise compensating movements.
For above the knee and through knee amputees, Taleo Side Flex combined with SKEO Sealing Liner, C-Leg 4, Genium or Genium X3 provides the best solution to get you back to an active and independent lifestyle.
For below the knee users, combining the Taleo Side Flex with our Dynamic Vacuum System (DVS) gives you a winning combination of flexibility and socket comfort.
It’s more than a prosthetic foot. It’s a foundation.

Triton side flex – adaptable with socket stability
There was a time when Marije would have taken detours to avoid uneven terrain. Thanks to her Triton side flex, she can now adapt to any slopes, hills and uneven spaces she encounters.
A boat tour through Amsterdam: What a great surprise from her boyfriend! The couple take a lot of selfies, and these carefree images show that Marije’s prosthetic foot gives her secure, worry-free footing – even on unsteady surfaces.
A quick movement between the sink and fridge, a small step to the side towards the cutlery drawer. Thanks to her Triton side flex, Marije can prepare a meal in a hurry when she has to – before her next shift at the hospital.
With her previous prosthetic foot, Marije used to find it very uncomfortable to simply lean sideways against a wall or door frame while chatting with friends. But the side-to-side flexibility of her Triton side flex lets her stand in a relaxed position, even during longer conversations.
Compared to standard carbon feet with a split spring, the Taleo Side Flex adapts to lateral slopes and uneven ground to an exceptionally high degree right after heel strike. This has a positive effect on the comfort and perceived balance and safety.
Whether moving in confined spaces or on swaying ground, standing with legs apart or relaxed while leaning against objects, the Taleo Side Flex allows you to do it with fewer compensating movements.
The 'Terrain Adaptation Unit' provides mediolateral adaptability of 20°and ensures secure, full-surface ground contact – even when walking or standing on uneven surfaces and slopes. The curved bottom of the 'Terrain Adaptation Unit' also enables more controlled forward movement during the rollover than low-profile feet with a conventional foot adapter.
The Taleo Side Flex is fully waterproof against fresh, salt and chlorinated water so you can take a shower, swim or work in humid conditions. The intuitive design allows fresh, salt and chlorinated water to easily drain away and prevent water from collecting in the interior of the prosthesis.
The prosthetic foot makes a difference in the success of the treatment. Learn more about prosthetic feet in general and our other foot options here.
Triton makes the difference
Marije
Marije is a vibrant young woman who is always on the go – at her job, during her free time in the park or with a boat on Amsterdam’s canals. Thanks to her new Triton side flex prosthetic foot and its unique side-to-side adaptability, Marije goes her own way without needing to think about where she puts her foot next.
More lateral flexibility, more secure ground contact
New lateral flexibility
Conventional prosthetic feet adapt to lateral slopes only to a small extent at heel strike. Only later on do these feet adapt to a greater extent as the load on the forefoot increases, with maximum adaptation occurring at the end of the stance phase. The Triton side flex adapts to lateral slopes and uneven ground to a high degree right after heel strike. This has a positive impact on the user’s comfort and safety.
