The DynamicArm is known as a myoelectrically controlled prosthesis, which means you control it with your own muscle signals. Here is how it works: Myoelectric is the technical term that refers to voltage generated by muscle activity, which can be measured on the skin surface. An electrode on the skin surface of your residual limb transmits the muscle signals to the DynamicArm in the form of electric voltage. Electric motors and microprocessors then convert these signals into specific movements.

The DynamicArm is suitable for virtually all persons with amputations in the upper arm and shoulder region as well as disarticulation – on one or both sides. It can be precisely adapted to your abilities: persons with strong muscle signals can use the DynamicArm just as well as users who can only generate weak or even no active muscle signals at all in their residual limb.

Training the muscle signals is perhaps comparable to learning an instrument: practicing regularly is very important. If your socket is properly fitted and your musculature is in good condition, you should already see major progress after about 3 months.

The DynamicArm is compatible with most myoelectrically controlled electric hands and electric grippers from Ottobock. A highly functional prosthesis system is achieved in combination with the especially responsive SensorHand Speed, offering maximum everyday independence for you.

You can flex and extend the elbow joint, allowing you to lift or hold objects. The wrist unit can be rotated so you enjoy freedom of movement here as well. The SensorHand Speed can be opened and closed.
