The individual requirements for the patient’s prosthetic alignment can be taken into account directly in the socket design.
Use iFab EasyScan or any other suitable scanning device to create a precise digital map of your patient’s residual limb.
The software provides a range of preset parameters based on your selected liner, the socket format and key characteristics of the patient’s residual limb. You can follow or modify them as needed.
During the design workflow you can define the exact alignment of your patient’s socket, including abduction/adduction, flexion/extension and/or rotational shift.
Once your socket design is ready, it takes just a few clicks to configure the check or definitive socket, complete your order and start the production process.
Based on the specific patient data, our modification software provides automatic adjustments, i.e. reductions of the trimline, which you can check, change, or adjust at any time.
Log in to the iFab Customer Center (iCC), load your scan into the MyFit TT modelling software and indicate if you’d like to order a check or definitive socket.
Confident your design will deliver an optimal fit? Skip the check socket and simply order a definitive socket based on your final 3D model.

From 3D-scanning to the 3D-printed prosthesis
The digital fitting process begins with a scan of the residual limb. iFab EasyScan supports this by offering precise real-time recording of patient measurements, accurate visualisation and working in offline mode. Other scanners can also be used if they provide the required quality.
After the 3D scan file has been uploaded to the iFab Customer Center (iCC), the process is adapted to the individual patient. The intuitive modelling software guides you through the process step by step and provides support by automatically suggesting modifications.
Vacuum-formed check sockets as well as 3D-printed definitive sockets can be ordered via the iCC. If adjustments are required, modelling can be continued on the existing model.
