Hydraulic Ankle Joint

The Taleo Adapt features individual resistance adjustments which are easy to access, in both plantarflexion and dorsiflexion while having a total range of motion of 12°.

Limb Combinations

Transfemoral (above-knee) amputees can combine the Taleo Adapt with the Genium X4 for a premium fully waterproof limb combination. The hydraulic prosthetic foot can also been paired with the C-Leg 4 and Dynion mechanical knee. Both Transfemoral and transtibial (below-knee) amputees can enhance their limb build with the Quickchange adaptor, allowing effortless transitions to a sports prosthesis like the Challenger.

The Taleo Adapt prosthetic foot is designed for active individuals (mobility grade 3-4) who navigate diverse indoor and outdoor terrains with ease. It is ideal for those who prioritise a smooth, natural walking experience, going wherever life takes them. The Taleo Adapt supports users weighing up to 130 kg, and both transfemoral and transtibial amputees can benefit from the Taleo Adapt's versatility. For above knee amputees, it combines with our prosthetic knees such as the C-Leg 4, Dynion, or Genium X4, with the latter two offering a fully waterproof solution for even greater freedom and flexibility.

How does a hydraulic prosthetic foot differ from a normal carbon foot?

The key difference lies in the ankle joint. A conventional carbon prosthetic foot has no moving ankle joint, it owes its dynamics and flexibility to the carbon spring which deflects under load. The Taleo Adapt, however combines this carbon spring functionality with a hydraulic ankle joint. This addition enhances the foot's mobility, allowing it to better utilise the spring's dynamics while providing extra movement. As a result, it offers greater versatility and adapts more effectively to a wide range of surfaces.

Is the Taleo Adapt waterproof?

Yes, the hydraulic prosthetic foot is waterproof and corrosion-resistant and can be worn in fresh, salt or chlorinated water. In addition to water-resistant material, the carbon foot also has water runoff contours on the adapter and openings in the sole of the footshell that let water drain away from the prosthesis. In order to maintain the functionality of the foot, it is essential to clean it as instructed after using it in water.
